Trumpet-Ken Callaway is principal trumpet and founder of Legend Brass Quintet which performs in a variety of professional settings. Mr. Callaway has a diverse background in both classical and jazz performance, and has performed with local Symphony Orchestras, Wind Ensembles, and Jazz Orchestras. He has studied trumpet with Don Jacoby, Burt Truax, Tom Booth, Keith Johnson, and Rick Bogard, as well as attending UNT and UTA. In addition to maintaining a busy performance schedule, Mr. Callaway currently teaches Bailey Junior High School in Arlington. Mr. Callaway holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Trumpet-Brad Bonebrake is one of the newest members of Legend Brass, formally joining the group in 1998. Mr. Bonebrake holds a Bachelor of Music degree with teacher certification from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Music degree in trumpet performance from Arizona State University. Mr. Bonebrake's primary trumpet teachers have been Dr. Rick Bogard and David Hickman. Mr. Bonebrake has performed with the Phoenix Symphony, Arizona Opera Orchestra, Summit Brass, and the Texas Wind Symphony. Currently, Mr. Bonebrake is an assistant band director at Summit High School in Mansfield, Texas, where he directs the Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensembles I, and several beginner brass classes.

Horn-Linda Gaston, horn, is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. While at Tech she played 2 years with the Lubbock Symphony as first assistant. She earned her Master's degree in Music Performance from the University of Houston. Linda has taught five years as a junior high band director in the Conroe and Arlington independent school districts, and was also a high school band director in Mansfield ISD for a year. Linda currently teaches privately full time, and has taught horn at the Texas Tech band camp and the Legend Brass quintet camp. She has been a freelance performer with various church and civic orchestras since 1987. She has been a member of Legend Brass since 1999.

Euphonium/Trombone-Dr. Jeff Cottrell (born 1963) is a composer, teacher and performer. He completed his Bachelor of Music (Cum laude) in composition, Masters in Euphonium Performance, and Doctor of Musical Arts (May, 2004) at the University of North Texas. Jeff studied Euphonium with Dr. Brian Bowman. While working on his degrees Jeff taught private lowbrass lessons in various North Texas public schools and continues to do so. Jeff is also the adjunct tuba and euphonium professor at Hardin Simmons UniversityHardin Simmons UniversityUniversity in Abilene Texas. Jeff's first love is composing and several of his pieces have been premiered by North Texas academic and professional bands. In addition to composing and teaching he enjoys performing in several area bands. Since 1991 he has performed with Dash Riprock and the Dragons locally and throughout the United States. Jeff also performs with Legend Brass (a brass quintet), the Razzamajazz Dixieland band, and Johnny D. and the Doo-Wops.

Tuba- Michael McKnight formally joined the Legend Brass in June of 2007. Mr. McKnight earned his Bachelor of Music degree in euphonium performance from Hardin-Simmons University and his Master of Arts from the University of North Texas. Currently he teaches private lessons, masterclasses, sectionals, and beginner brass classes at several different schools around the D/FW metroplex. Mr. McKnight has played in brass quintets and church orchestras since he was a freshman in high school, and continues to play as a freelance musician around the metroplex and his hometown of Abilene.
